Ah yes. The infamous Chaturanga.

A fundamental pose in vinyasa yoga, Chaturanga Dandasana, (or four-limbed staff pose) is actually quite complex and considered an advanced posture.  Whether you love or loath this transitional asana, repeating it often, class after class with the slightest misalignment over time can cause major problems for the tendons and muscles in and around the shoulder joint.    

Join Jo as we break down the key components of Chaturanga, the building blocks of transitioning in and out of the pose, modifications, safety, and a yummy recovery. Learn how to take these components to your daily hot yoga or vinyasa practice.

Yoga & Writing: Creative Fearlessness

Writing and Yoga compliment each other. Yoga unlocks physical tension and fosters creativity. It generates communication between the body and mind. Writing gives us a platform to share our insight. It’s a meditative practice that has been proven to ease chronic conditions and reduce stress. The benefits of both run parallel. They are powerful synergists that can elevate our life as long as we give ourselves permission to explore both.

Through movement, meditation, and multiple writing exercises, we will do just that and allow our own unique experience to unfold. This workshop is fitting for all, no writing or yoga experience necessary!

Bring a pen, journal, and wear clothes you can move in.

Spring Cleaning: Sweet Release and Self-Care

Our lives are busy, active, and demanding. Our bodies carry us from one thing to the next, often challenging us to be physically mindful. Join Jo for a little head to toe spring cleaning - self-massage and self-care addition and give back to your hard working body. Using Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls, gentle stretches and breathing techniques, we will release, restore and refresh connective tissue in the body while experiencing a deep state of conscious relaxation. If you sit at a desk or coffee shop often, if you are an athlete making repetitive movements, if you live with mild to chronic pain from an accident or trauma, if you practice yoga or consider yourself a gym rat - this workshop is for you!  This workshop will provide take home exercises to continue this release work on your own time. No yoga experience necessary.
